Spice Isle beckons lucky WMN reader
A Western Morning News reader is preparing for the trip of a lifetime to exotic Zanzibar after winning first prize in our win a holiday competition. Chris Grose-Callan ( p i c t u re d right, above) won the prize in last year’s competition run by the WMN in conjunction with Devon based travel company Zambezi Safaris and the Zanzibar Collection. Lucky Chris from Tintagel received the prize from Zambezi’s Sue Bowern and the WMN’s Stewart Barriball. She will be taking a week’s holiday for two, including flights on the beautiful Indian Ocean island, known as the Spice Isle, later this year. It will be Chris’ second trip to Africa.
Last year she went on safari to Botswana’s Chobe National Park, Cape Town and Victoria Falls. She said: “I don’t usually enter competitions but this one caught my eye. All I’ve won before is a bottle of wine! I c a n’t believe I’m off to Zanzibar, it’ll be great to visit another part of Africa”. Chris will be spending six nights at one of the Zanzibar Collection Hotels with flights and transfers. The travel lover was invited to Zambezi Travel on Delamore Estate in Cornwood to receive her itinerary.
